Redinfinite is back
Back in 2019 I built the first version of Redinfinite — an infinite Reddit scroller with Tinder-style swipe mechanics. The idea was simple: pick a subreddit and just let it go. Images and videos, one after another, no clutter.
It quietly built a small audience. Then in July 2023, Reddit changed its API pricing, and that was that. Shut it down.
I kept thinking about it.
What’s new
This version is a full rebuild. Same idea, much better execution:
- Swipe deck — swipe right to go back, swipe left or tap next to advance, swipe down to skip
- Save posts — swipe right-to-save is gone; hit the heart or press
Sto save without advancing - Favorites — saved posts live locally in your browser, no account needed
- Download — download any image or video directly from the card
- Curated feeds — Funny, Aww, Memes, and more without having to type anything
- Ad-free option — the app is free. If you find it useful, a small donation removes the occasional ad permanently
No account. No tracking. No login.
What’s next
- Search and discovery improvements
- Better video support
- A proper settings page
- Maybe a mobile app if there’s enough interest
